Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Hein (1966: 24-25 and fig. 28) as a cylindrical mounted baptismal font of the Romanesque period. The upper rim of the basin is ornamented with a rope motif; below is a large acanthus vine delimited at the bottom by a thin double-torus all around; below this, and all around the rounded underbowl is another acanthus vine motif. The base has a round apper part decorated with a large rope motif; this rope motif appears also framinf the top and sides of the square lower base; the panels of the lower base have foliage motifs. All the work is done in low relief. The font is made of reddish granite.
