Noted in the Enciclopedia del románico en Aragón (Zaragoza, vol. 2, 2010) with suggested date in the early-13th century. Although not identical to the font at nearby Sos del Rey Católico, the font at Navardún is similar to it in its general bucket-shape and the artichoke-like leaves that adorn its exterior. The inside of the basin is quatrefoil. There are traces of holes on the upper rim surface consistent with the presence of a hinged cover. The font is raised on a very short square base.
