Noted In Hallbäck (1966) as a baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200; it consists of a roughly cylindrical basin with a rounded underbowl, rope moulding towards the lower side of the basin; round splaying lower base with a much eroded moulding that may have been originally rope patterned; central drain. Hallbäck (ibid.) dates the lid to 1645. Lagerlöf (1985) informs that the 12th century baptismal font and cover -originally from the old wooden church demolished in 1905- survived and were installed in the new church. This same source (ibid., fig. 138 on p. 115) illustrates the 12th century wooden font cover: conical wooden lid, totally plain up to the finial; the finial is a four-sided knob with medallion-like sides on which some text or numbers appear (illegible in the source; the date?); on top of the know ia a church-like building with a four-sided steep roof much resembling some of the wooden church towers of this area.
