Described and illustrated in Mackeprang (1941: 20, 30, 33 and fig. 18). Described and illustrated in Danmarks kirker: Århus amt (1968- , Bd. 9, hft. 49: 4786); the font is a monolithic granite cube with an striated upper basin side (damaged along two of the sides), and a large scallop shape on each side; it is probable that it was made by the same master who made the font at nearby Ørridslev; it is also suggested that the inspiration for the design of this font may be found in the one at Lenton (Nottinghamshire, England) [cf. Index entry for Lenton]. The church has a "fontehimmel" [=font canopy] from 1750-1775, shaped like the Jacobean font covers so popular on English fonts.
