No entry found in Meyrick (1808). Lewis' Dictionary of 1833 informs: "the font, which is of great antiquity, is square, an ornamented at each angle with a human head". The entry for this church in Evans (1914) notes: "The ancient Font was discarded when the olf Church was rebuilt about 1863; the bowl and portion of the stem are now deposited in the vestry". Tyrrel-Green (1928): "The much mutilated bowl at Llanllwchaiarn (Cardigan) shows a kindred design upon a square bowl with a shallow arcading and a head at each angle." Peter Lord, in Diwylliant... (1998-2003) writes: "Llanllwchaearn, location of one of the fonts of the four-headed type, though only a single head remains".
