Noted in Blomqvist (1929). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 910802F1] as a 'Bestiariusgruppen' baptismal font made of sandstone in the second half of the 12 century; the sides of the basin are decorated with an arcade of eight round arches containing animals (lion, bird, etc.) and a centaur; motifs in the spandrels; thin moulding at the upper rim; two-strad braid around the bottom edge of the basin; patterned underbowl; round splaying pedestal base with concave rib pattern, and a thick rope moulding all around. No cover present. The SHM entry (ibid.) points out the reddish hue of the basin; indeed, the stone of the basin and that of the base, though sandstone both, are of a quite different hue and grain. Listed in Drake (2002: 183) as one of several baptismal fonts "[a]ttributed to the Bestiarius workshop but not verified".
