Noted and illustrated in Blomqvist (1929) as a broken/damaged font in his chapter on 'Njudungsmästarens posthume verkstad' fonts. Inventoried and illustrated in Borg (2002) as a baptimal font made of sandstone 1170-1220; Borg (ibid.) reports the damaged basin with a large section of it missing. Listed as a baptismal font of the Bestiarius workshop (Group 5) in Drake (2002: 183). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 910722F3] as a 'Njudungsgruppen' baptismal font made of sandstone in the second half of the 12th century; the broken basin had seven arches in the arcade but only two of the arches are whole, decorated with the usual beaded-tape pattern and containing animals of several sorts. No font cover present. The old baptismal font with the damaged basin is located in the chancel of the old restored church. The font in the new Lannaskede-Myresjö church is modern, of 1948.
