Inventoried and illustrated in Borg (2002) as a baptismal font of sandstone ca. 1150, in the 'Bestiariusgruppen huvudtyp'. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 910725F1] as a 'Bestiarius' baptismal font made of sandstone in the late-12th century [NB: the SHM entry mentions Oscar Rydbeck's Några småländska dopfuntar tillhörande Roosvals bestiariusgrupp Amici Amico Festskrift till Johnny Roosval (1929, s 101 ff,). Described in Drake (2002: 141, 142, 160, 183) as a baptismal of the Bestiarius workshop (Group 7 - Transitional); there is a ring of oval shapes on the base of this font that later, in the fonts at Vaxtorp No. 1, Lekeryd and Vireda becomes a ring of human heads; Drake (ibid, p. 142) describes the square plinth with heads at the corners.
