Noted in Blomqvist (1929). Inventoried and illustrated in Borg (2002) as a 'Bestiariusgruppent Variant 4' font. Listed in Drake (2002: 183) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period belonging to the Bestiarius workshop (Group 1). Noted and illustrated in the SHM’s database Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 910701F1] as a Bestiarius baptismal font made of sandstone in the late-12th century decorated with an arcade of eight round arches containing different animals; rope moulding at the neck of the base; semi-circular panels on the round-to-square lower base with vegetal motifs; tiny buildings in the spandrels between the panels, at least one of them housing a human head. No cover present. [NB: the location of the font appears to have changed within the new church; it was shown early on at the east end, but ca. 2010 it is located by the old retable from the medieval church, towards the west end of the nave]
