Noted and illustrated in Roosval (1917). Listed in Drake (2002: 141, 183) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period belonging to the Bestiarius workshop (Group 1); the basin has a "cylindrical upper part above a steeply sloping lower section [NB: the font is reported in the Statens Historiska museum of Stockholm]. Noted and illustrated in the SHM’s database Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 950512F6] as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the late-12th century; the basin is decorated with animal and foliage motifs [NB: the lower base of the old font appears to be in the new church at Appuna]. Noted and illustrated in Ullén & Ljungstedt (2003) with date in the 13th century.. The serving font in the new church was made of red limestone in 1660 by Michael Hacke, of Skänninge. There are two baptismal dishes in use one made of brass in the 17th century, the other made of silver in 1963 and bearing the inscription "Låten barnen komma till mig".
