[NB: we have no information on the font of the 15th-century church here]. The present font in this church, although chronologically excluded from this Index, is included as an example of the continuity of the old foundry fonts of the past. Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes de Calvados (2001, v. 2: 1642) as a cast iron font of the late 19th century; it consists of a shallow covered basin with a hinged top that opens to give partial access to the basin well; its outer surfaces are decorated with Christian symbols: cross, shell, etc., and is topped by a cross finial. The base is a narrow pedestal ornamented with a cross and a shell as well.
