Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes de Calvados (2001, v. 2: 1352) as a baptismal font dated from the end of the 16th century; the basin sides are deeply recessed between two round mouldings, the upper is octagonal; human heads and other motifs in the recess [cf. supra]; the underbowl is round and ornamented with foliage motifs. The base is an octagonal pedestal with one large centre moulding; four textured and ornamented handle-like volutes reach from the upper part of the base to the lower one, one on every second side. There is an octagonal wooden dome cover topped by a cross finial; painted a lead-grey colournow but earlier photographs [cf. ImagesArea] show it multicoloured.
