The church here, but not the font, is mentioned briefly in Meyrick (1808). Evans (1914) writes: "The ancient four-sided Fontswept out by nineteenth-century 'restorers', is shortly to be removed back into the church." Tyrrell-Green (1928: 39) reports that "at Llanfihangel Lledrod (Cardiganshire) the old font's bowl and base, both square, have been utilised as coping stones to the pillars on either side of the north gate of the churchyard, the shaft which once connected them being placed as a sort of finial upor the entrance to the enclosure." The entry for this church in COFLEIN [https://coflein.gov.uk/en/site/417696/details/st-michaels-church-lledrod] [accessed 19 January 2020] notes: "The parish church of St Michaels [...] was built in 1826-7 [...] remodelled in 1884 [...] In the porch is a small. plain square medieval font."
