Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes de Maine-et-Loire (2001, v. 2: 1293) as a baptismal font of the 13th century, a double-font; it consists of two basins: the main one is octagonal and is ornamented with low-relief trefoil and quatrefoil motifs around the upper basin side; the secondary basin is cylindrical and plain; both pieces have vertical sides and are attached. The cover and locks are modern. Measurements of the outer diameters of the basins are given in the Chemillé-en-Anjou web site [https://www.chemille-en-anjou.fr/histoire-et-patrimoine-de-valanjou/ [accessed 10 May 2025]: "Ces fonts baptismaux se composent de deux piscines accolées.
