Font Notes:
Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM37000207]: "fonts baptismaux [...] pierre [...] Taillée au ciseau en un bloc à peu près cylindrique [...] 12e siècle." Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes d'Indre-et-Loire (2001, v. 1: 542-543) as a monolithic cylindrical baptismal font of the 12th century; the inner basin well is has twelve concave ribs; restored; this same source mentions a small base but the basin appears without one in this and other sources. [NB: the concave ribbing of the inner well tends to be found in 13th-century fonts or later; the early dating may have been assigned based on the crude workmanship].
