Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes d'Indre-et-Loire (2001, v. 2: 1220) as an octagonal stone basin dating from the end of the 11th or beginning of the 12th century; the upper rim of the basin is round but the sides are clearly framed by thick mouldings; each side is ornamented with a round arch. The original base is missing; the basin now stands on a modern concrete foot, also octagonal.
