Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes d'Indre-et-Loire (2001, v. 2: 817) as a cauldron-shaped medieval baptismal font ornamented with four human heads at 90-degree angles; the heads are typical of the Norman-type, with long hair and bearded. The base is a short cylindrical pedestal ornamented with a central ring; the lower base is square. The basin of the font appears painted a bick-red colour, while the two parts of the base are in black except the centre-ring, which is painted in gold. The source illustration [cf. supra] shows the presence of a smaller stone container with a cover, now inside the old basin well.
