Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes de la Sarthe (2001, v. 2: 1123) as a monolithic holy-water stoup made from a recycled ancient pillar; the lower 2/3 are square and ornamented with geometric motifs; one of the sides appears to have human figures in low relief; the upper 1/3 is octagonal. also with circle motifs; the inside well is round. A human head visible on the upper rim appears to have been placed on it and not be part of the stoup itself. [Gallo-Roman?].
