Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Uppland (1921- , Bd. XI, hft. 2: 253-254 and fig. 230 on p. 255) as the hemispherical basin of a baptismal font made of reddish sandstone and dated from ca. 1200: "The font bowl, which bears traces of obliterated ornament, belongs to the older Mälar-valley type [mälardalstype] from about 1200. The foot was added later".
