Noted in Glynne (1877): "The font is a plain octagon". Listed in Tyrrell-Green (1928) as one in a very large group of baptismal fonts that are plain octagonal with straightsided basins. Noted in Newman (1976): "Font. Perp[endicular]. Octagonal, but a round stem." [NB: the fabric of the church goes back to Norman times, but we have no information on the earlier font]
