Noted in Roosval (1918) and Nordström (1984). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 940831F] as a sandstone baptismal font of the Mälardalsgruppen with date in the 12th century. Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Uppland (1921- , Bd. 7, hft. 1: 30-34) as a cylindrical mounted baptismal font dated to the last quarter of the 12th century and made of Mälardal sandstone; the sides of the basin are vertical and ornamented with anthropomorfic figures, usually human heads on animal bodies, as well as foliage and geometrical motifs. The tall underbowl chamfer has an arcade of round arches containing a Nativity scene without Mary, a Christ in Majesty flanked by a haloed angel; a bishop in another arch [although his mitre looks like a crown], is followed by a haloed angel holding a scroll (perhaps the symbol of Matthew), and other motifs. The base is a separate block in the shape of truncated cone with an upper ring moulding ornamented with small heads. The bottom of the font appears to have a wooden ring protection around it. A cognate font of the ones at Järfälla, Sånga and Litslena (Uppland), and Ytterselö (Södermanland).
