Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Uppland (1921- , Bd. V, hft. 5: 659-661) as a a late-13th century baptismal font; the basin is of cruciform plan and this plan is carried on to the base which has the shape of four clustered columns with capitals and bases, each column corresponding to a lobe of the basin. The material appears to be sandstone and is very eroded, although it still shows some kind of ornamentation band around the sides of the basin. The font appears to consist of four piece: basin, underbowl chamfer, stem of the base and lower base. The font was reported kept in the 'vapenhuset' [=weapons vestibule] until 1918 when archbishop Söderblom had it brought into the church proper.
