Illustrated in Hildebrand (1907: fig. 244) in whose drawing the basin appears hemispherical, withou a hint of the polygon mentioned below. Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Uppland (1921- , Bd. III, hft. 3: 32) as a baptismal font made of Gotland limestone; the polygonal basin has sixteen sides at the upper rim and sides, but the underbowl is totally hemispherical; it is decorated all around with busy Gothic foliage motif in low relief, and has a row of nail-head motif around its upper rim side. The base consists of two parts: a conical pedestal topped by a roll moulding on its upper end, and a splayed lower base, both otherwise plain. The same source (ibid.) cites Roosval [??] as source for its identification as a Gotlandic work of between 1250 and 1280. Noted and illustrated in the SHM’s database Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 940721F2] as a baptismal font made of limestone in the second half of the 14th century.
