Illustrated in Corblet (1881: v. 2, p. 104) as a late octagonal mounted font; the upper rim sides has two mouldings; the basin side has a band of short round arches that look like loops, and there is a thin-ribbed pattern all the way down the underbowl; the pedestal of the base appears cylindrical and has four handle-like S motifs protruding at 90-degree angles. The font cover is quite tall, about three times the height of the font itself [therefore about 3 m. tall if the font is of regular size]; it has three volumes: the lower is of the "rim-buffet" type and it has the width of the upper rim of the font; the middle volume is of the same shape but narrower; the third volume is also octagonal but in the shape of a high dome. The figural finial appears to be a baptism scene in which a tall figure with a crozier-and-banner appears to be poring water over a smaller figure next to it. The two lower volumes of the cover are ornamented with scenes [undiscernible in the source] and the upper one has the Sun, the Moon and many stars all over it.
