The church is located in Karlskrona's Main Square: Marketplatz
Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Blekinge (1926-1965, Bd. III: 104 and fig. 73 on p. 110) as an octagonal mounted baptismal font made of reddish Oland limestone in 1685; the basin is very shallow with a rounded underbowl that starts right under the rim; it bears an inscription [cf. Inscription area] and is ornamented with floral motifs. The base consists of a slender pedestal with a ball or ring motif high up on the stem and a wider lower base, both octagonal and ornamented with floral motifs similar to those on the basin. [NB: the source above (SK..., ibid., p. 8) informs that this font was originally from the old wooden Fredrikskyrkan, dedicated to Hedvig Leonora; when the new stone Fredrikskyrkan -the current one- was inaugurated in 1744, this font was preserved and is now in the German or Holy Trinity church. The old wooden church is believed to have been demolished soon after 1750]
