An article in El Pais (Oct. 6, 2001), travel section, by Pedro Altares, informs that the Mozarabic church of Santa María de Wamba still has a baptismal font in the same style. [NB: this is probably a reference to the stoup; another stoup that exists in the same church, but it is not listed in Martín González inventory of 1970]. The baptismal font here is probably from the Romanesque period of the church, the 12th century; it consists of a large roughly hemispherical basin, plain except for a single moulding at the upper rim; raised on a squat base of truncated-cone shape. The wooden cover is hinged at its middle; appears modern. The basin is badly damaged, with a very large crack with missing stone on the side [NB: this damage is documented in photographs as late as September 2013, but it no loger appears on photographs of May 2015]. The font appeared disused but has a modern wooden font cover hinged in the centre [cf. Index entries for Wamba No. 2 and 3 for the stoups noted above].
