Described and illustrated in MacGibbon & Ross (1896-1897, v. I: 344 and fig. 306, 307) as the basin from an old baptismal font originally from the old parish church of Strathbroc; it was rescued from a nearby farm where it had been used for "practical purposes"; it is an octagonal basin (the original base is lost) ornamented with an inscription [cf. Inscription area] in large letters on six of its sides, the other two being blank; other than the inscription, it has a roll moulding around the lower basin side; the basin is now mounted on a modern columnar base and a low square plinth.
