Described and illustrated in MacGibbon & Ross (1896-1897, v. II: 401 and fig. 812): "an octagonal font of remarkable design [...] stands against the east wall of the aisle." Odd, perhaps, rather than "remarkable", the basin is octagonal with vertical sides and plain rectangular panels totally unadorned; brief chamfer at the underbowl; the base is an octagonal pedestal curved inwards at the middle, and stands on a short octagonal plinth.
