Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Östergötland (1921- , Bd. I, hft. 1: 83) as the hemispherical basin of a medieval baptismal font made of grey limestone; it has no base; the basin upper side has a moulding; the basin sides and underbowl are covered by a blind arcade of trefoil arches with trefoil/triquetra motifs in the spandrels. At the time the font was reported disused and located in the 'vapenhuset' of the church. Noted and illustrated in the SHM’s database Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920725F2] as a "musselcuppstyp" baptismal font made of limestone in the 14th century. Noted and illustrated in Ullén & Ljungstedt (2003) as the basin of a baptismal font made of Gotland limestone; this source noted that the basin was restored to the interior of the church in 1997 and provided with base made of Borghamn limestone. This same source gives the font at Mogata as a cognate. [NB: the church has a later font in use - cf. Index entry for Svinstad No. 2]
