Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Västergötland (Bd. II, hft. 1, 1970: 66, 69, 90) as a sandstone chalice-shaped baptismal font "of late 13th century type, very common in Västergötland"; the basin is cylindrical with plain vertical sides, the only ornamentation being a moulding at the lower side; the plain underbowl ends in a a significant centre ring moulding; all this forms the upper piece, which is sandstone of a reddish hue. The other piece, also sandstone but of a grey colour, is the conical pedestal of the base, which looks like a mirrored image of the basin chamfer including the moulding which circles the upper rim of the lower volume. A new font was introduced with the church restoration of 1908, but the old one was restored to use in 1948.
