Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Värmland (1924- , Bd. I, hft. 1: 66, 71, 72, 100) as a plain granite baptismal font of the larger of the "smaalenska" or "spetsflikiga" type found in south-eastern Norway (Smaalenenes amt) and the western provinces of Sweden; dated to the early 13:th century. The round basin is almost cylindrical, but has slightly angled sides, wider at the top; around the top side there is band of ornamental motif; the base consists of a round shaft wtih a roll moulding lower down the side, and a dome lower base totally plain. This font is believed to be from an early-13th century church of which little is known. A circular wooden lid of the 17th or 18th century has also survived; it has incised floral ornamentation all around the upper surface, as well as a moulded and carved central part where the finial probably sat.
