Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Värmland (1924- , Bd. I, hft. 1: 15, 16, 20, 34, 36) as a composite font made of two unmatched parts that probaly survived from the medieval church: "the bowl [...] belongs to a large group of scale-ornamented baptismal fonts -chiefly distinguishing south-eastern Norway (Smaalenenes Amt) and the western provinces of Sweden (Dalsland, Bohuslän, Västergötland and Värmland). This group can be assigned to the middle of the 13:th century." The granite basin is roughly hemispherical with a thin moulding around its middle; it now has a reinforcing band of iron around the upper side. The base, dated to a century earlier than the basin, has a thick round moulding at the top and is square towards the bottom. Both pieces look very eroded -no doubt due to their long sojourn in the churchyard- but are now [ca. 1924] located in the sacristy.
