Described and illustrated in Le Patrimoine... de la Vendée (2001, v. 2: 989) as the remains of a granite holy-water stoup from the old church, now located in the Jardin de la Cure and dated to the 13th century. The illustration (ibid.) shows what appears to be a wall-mounted hexagonal stoup, with the back side, the sixth, being the extension which would have been originally built into the wall; the basin well appears round and shallow; the fragment is obviously out in the open, surrounded by weeds and covered in moss. [NB: the source (ibid.) mentions its belonging to the "ancienne église" that is recorded since at least 1179; the date of the stoup is given as 13th century] [the base and lower basin fragment of a baptismal font, also said to have belonged to the old church, is located in this same garden]
