Described and illustrated in Le Patrimoine... de la Vendée (2001, v. 2: 627) as a holy-water stoup of the 13th century, contemporary with the church built in 1235 [NB: this description and the dating should be taken 'cum grano salis'; the object illustrated in this source isnot a stoup but a double-font -usually characteristic of a later date in France; the larger volume being octagonal and the smaller cylindrical, both retaining their individual shapes down the pedestal of the base and the shape of the plinth]
