Baptismal font of the Romanesque period originally form the parish church at La Retuerta [abandoned village near Balconete]. The basin is hemispherical and decorated with a band of concentric circle motifs at the upper side; the sides are ornamented with a ribbed pattern; the narrow and short pedestal base is round and decorated with vertical ribs, a continuation of the basin pattern, the bottom end with a roll moulding and resting directly on the ground without lower base or plinth. The Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara (2009) notes and illustrates the ruins of the former Romanesque church of Santo Domingo, La Retuerta, of the late-12th or early-13th century, but does not mention this font in either of its entries for Balconete/Retuerta or Guadalajara capital.
