Life-size statue of John the Baptist described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Skåne (1932- , Bd. III, hft. 1: 105, 106, 108). Although not properly a holy-water stoup and dangerously verging at the chronological boundaries of this Index' scope, this piece is included here by virtue of its function as "dopställ" [=stand for the baptismal dish]; it was carved by Petter Norrman ca. 1700 and is now located in the Kristianstad Museum. This wooden figure is 178 cm tall and represents a young beardless John the Baptist dressed in a long tunic and holding a large basin-like dish with both hands.
