Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Närke (1939- , Bd. I, hft. 5: 774-775) as an octagonal limestone pedestal font donated to the church in 1661 by the vicar Samuel Davidsson Hallman and his wife Brita Oldsdotter ; their initial appear painted on the underbowl above and below a chalice motif; the basin is small -looks more like a holy-water stoup- and rounded on the underbowl; the base consists of a thin baluster-type pedestal with a central ring, and a square lower base. The shape of this font is almost identical to the "new" one in nearby Lillkyrka. The basin carries a Latin inscription; the ring of the pedestal of the base has another inscription with the date 1661. The basin is painted, as is the ring of the base, but the rest of the pedestal of the base appears unpainted. [NB: we have no information on the font of the original 15th-century church here)
