Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Närke (1939- , Bd. I, hft. 5: 727-728) as an octagonal limestone pedestal font donated to the church in 1671 by Margareta Svensdotter; the basin is small -looks more like a holy-water stoup- and rounded on the underbowl; the base consists of a thin baluster-type pedestal with a central ring, and a square lower base. The surface of the basins sides and underbowl is painted with a stylised foliage pattern; the pedestal of the base has fruit and floral patterns, apparently painted (?), all over it. The basin carries an inscription with the name of the donor, the date and the name of the "kyrkoherden" [=rector, vicar] of the time, Abraham Larsson Blybergh. [cf. Index entry for Lillkyrka No. 1 for the old Romanesque font from this church, now located at the museum in Strängnäs]
