Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in by Roosval in Roosval (1917) as the surviving cylindrical basin of a baptismal font made of "kristallinisk urkalksten eller marmor" in the late-13thC . Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Närke (Bd. I, hft. 6: 874) as the limestone cylindrical basin from a Romanesque baptismal font dated probably to the 12th century; the SK gives the location of this basin, and of two other pieces from this church, as the SHM, in Stockholm, and the inventory number as "inv nr 8165" for the three of them. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 950512F4] as the basin of a "mellansvensk verkstad" baptismal font made of limestone in the early-13th century; moved to the Statens Historiska Museum, Stockholm. The basin is plain but for a single groove all around at the botom of the basin side.
