Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Gotland (Bd, VII, hft. 2: 76-79, 98) as a composite baptismal font made up of a Semi-Byzantios base [cf. Index entry for Linde No. 1 for the original basin of this font (?), now kept in the Gotlands Fornsalen Museum in Visby], and a later, probably 13th century, limestone cylindrical basin (has inscription: "Kyrkio ... bekostadt thenne målning 1755"); this basin and base were profusely painted in the 18th century; on the basin, little branches of foliage. The the stem of the base has four protruding heads that have been painted as well as the surrounding area; they are: a man's head with long braided (?) hair; a lion head; another lion'shead, this one devouring a human; a ram's head.
