Font Notes:
Noted in Blomgren (1971) who dwells on the transcription. In Hallbäck (1971). Claesson (1989 (89: 80), after Hallbäck (1971) reports an inscription on this font in which the name of the of the person who commissioned the font "Gile" or "Gile?t" (?), as well as the one who made it, "?Oglinus" (?) appear. The font consists of a square basin with cushion capital sides; one side has an Agnus Dei; another a scalloped pattern; on the upper side of the latter is a Latin inscription studied and transcribed by Blomgren (1971): "+ IN HONORE S(AN)C(T)E T R I N I TA T E GILEB(ER)T ME EMIT ?OGLIN(US) ME FECIT." Blomgren (ibid.) suggests the following translation into Swedish: "Till ära för den Heliga Trefaldighet köpte mig Gilebert och förfärdigade mig Poglinus", which states the dedication to the glory of the Holy Trinity, gives Gilebert as the sponsor or donor, and Poglinus as the stone mason, though the initial letter of his name could be B or R, making it 'Boglinus' or 'Roglinus'. Interestingly Blomgren (ibid.) notes that this font is similar to some English fonts, and is not disinclined to consider a mason from that country being responsible for it ["Eftersom funten är av engelsk typ, ligger det, som ovan sagts, nära till hands att antaga, att han varit engelsman, men även andra möjligheter finnas."]. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920426F1] after Blomgren and Hallbäck [cf. supra] as a Roglinus font made of sandstone in the mid-12th century. Of the other two sides of the basin one has the same scalloped pattern as the one with the inscription but the upper bans is blank; the fourth side has the same broad semi-circular band as the side with the Agnus Dei, but has a Greek cross with an inscribed circle in its centre.

There is second font here, made of wood, of the late 17th century (1693)
