Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Gotland (Bd. III: 324-325 and pl. 399 on p. 337) as a sandstone baptismal font in a Baroque style dated to 1667, probably the work of Henrik Hansson Schote, the master of the portal capitals; the cylindrical basin has a protruding lip on the uppper rim and blind oval foliage rings all around (10?, 12?). The stem of the base has four large bulges (fruit and foliage? and a rounded lower end. Also described and illustrated in Fåhraeus (1974: 60 et al.) Though rather unappealing, the general design of this font does reminisce of the Romanesque shapes and basic elements (e.g.: the arcaded basin, the four protruding heads of the stem), though adapted to the Baroque style. [NB: SK: Gotland (Bd. III: 325 and pl. 375 on p. 321) describes and illustrates the plinth of an earlier font, probably from the late 13th century -- cf. Index entry for Klinte No. 2]
