Described in Sveriges kyrkor: Gotland as a sandstone baptismal font of the medieval type but dated by an inscription to 1592; it has foliage ornamentation on the basin; made of two blocks, no drain. Described and illustrated in Fåhraeus (1974): the basin has a square plant with rounded buttressed corners (each with a small hole in its top), with incised floral ornamentation on many of its surfaces; there is a ribbed/foliage pattern on the hemispherical underbowl; the base plant is also square, with eight fleur-de-lis motifs -four large, four small- on the narrow upper part, while the lower end is plain with vertical sides. [NB: the remnants of the original Romanesque church here are located just north of this church; the present building dates from the mid-13th century -- we have no information of the font(s) of the earlier and/or original church here].
