Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Gotland (Bd. II: 200 and pl. 281on p. 197) as a mid-13th century limestone baptismal font of the Paradise font type: hemispherical basin described in the source as "musselcuppa" [=shell-fish basin] with large ribbed pattern, mounted on a conical pedestal with large ring moulding on the upper part; the whole is raised on a square plinth that is provided with a drain pad with a drain hole; the basin itself does not have a drain. In Reutersvärd (1967). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 910507F2] as a 'musselcuppstyp' baptismal font made of limestone in the second half of the 13th century. No cover present no but there are earlier photographs (e.g.: Alfred Edle, 1926) of the font being covered by a modern one of wood. The western part of the church is said to be of the early 13th century and there may have been an earlier font here. [BSI re-visited the church on 22 May 2018].
