Described in Sveriges kyrkor: Gotland (Bd. II: 184) as a limestone baptismal font of the early 13th century (cites Roosval's Steinmeister (1918: 208 and pl. 239) as source for the dating). Described and illustrated in Fåhraeus (1974) as a plain cylindrical mounted font with a conical pedestal base, quite similar to the ones from Elinghem, Lye, etc. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 910506F2] as a baptismal font of the 'ciborietyp' made of limestone in the mid-13th century. On-site visit: the font is in good shape and totally plain except for the roll moulding atop the base; the base is of two blocks; the basin has no drain but it has stone flaw in the centre of the inner basin. The wooden cover is round, flat and plain; modern.
