Described and illustrated in Lundmark (1931), Sveriges kyrkor: Gotland (Bd. I, hft. 5: 618). In Lagerlöf and Svahnström (1991). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 910811F4] as a baptismal font made of limestone in the mid-13th century; the SHM entry further notes that the metal band around it were installed to protect it from further cracking, and that the lower piece is probably a later addition. Baptismal font made of limestone circa 1230; the basin is hemispheric and plain; the round-to-square pedestal base has a roll moulding on the top; the lower end has four human heads, all male, placed at 90-degree angles; the lower volume of the base is square and probably of a later date. No cover present.
