Described and illustrated in Carlsson (1976: 153-154) as a baptismal font from ca. 1200 and "made by the same sculptural school" as the font at nearby Rinkaby, and with seals on its base; on the Trolle-Ljungby font, though, "the four seals are only seen by the head; and they seem to be emerging from the water, their damp breathing being seen in an almost impressionistic way" [cf. infra]. Described and illustrated in Tynell (1913-1921) as a 'Hvitaby-Maglehemsgruppen' baptismal font made of sandstone; Tynell (ibid) describes the corner base motifs not as seal heads [cf. supra] but as upside-down hornless bovine heads with foliage stemming from their mouths. Noted and illustrated in Rydbeck (1936) in her section on the 'Maglehem-Vitabygruppen' fonts. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 900627F2] as a 'Vitabygruppen' baptismal font made od sandstone ca. 1200; the SHM entry reports oil paint on it and identifies three of the vine inhabitants as possibly a bishop, a regardant quadruped and a dragon. No cover present. Baptismal dish of brass bearing a German coat of arms and dated 1684.
