Described and illustrated in Boström (1966- , Bd. I, hft. 5: 495, 497, 518) as a baptismal font made of Gotland limestone from the mid- to late-13th century; one of the group of Gotland Paradise fonts: hemispheric basin with a scotia st the upper rim side and twelve broad ribs around the basin and underbowl; the stem of the base is a conical pedestal, truncated at top and bottom by roll mouldings (the same source - ibid., p. 497, caption- informs however that "the plinth and the lower torus moulding [were] made in 1959 of limestone from Öland"). A new font, a dodecagonal mounted font made of Öland limestone, was brought into the church in 1890 ; the old font, which was originally from the "gamla kyrka" [=old church], was moved to the present location in the south transept in 1959 (ibid., p. 518)
