Described and illustrated in Boström (1966- , Bd. I, hft. 3: 224, 253) as a baptismal font of red limestone from Öland dated by an inscription to 1654 and made by the Jordan Hansson workshop. The font consists of a rather shallow octagonal basin mounted on an octagonal pedestal that has square upper and lower ends and a fat ring in its middle; it is all raised on an octagonal plinth; the surface of the basin and the base has foliage ornamentation (the motifs on the stem of the base appear to have human form. The same source (ibid., p. 276) informs that "when the new font had been installed, it was decided that the old one was to be used for the baptism of 'illegitimate' children." [NB: cf. added entry for a fragment of a much earlier font -dated to the second half of the 13th century or the first half of the 14th century- and a wall-mounted holy-water stoup in the old church (gamla kyrka)]
