Noted in Brunius (1850) and in Wimmer (1887). Described and illustrated in Tynell (1913-1921) as a baptismal font of the Hörsgruppen: roughly cylindrical basin bearing a Runic inscription with Mårten's name on the upper rim; the basin sides are decorated with a vine of linked palmettes between two rope motifs, one of the palmettes containing a human head; plain underbowl; base is round, decorated with lions with prey; Tynell (ibid.) refers to the two previous authors. A font cover from the 16th century is illustrated in Tynell (ibid.) and in Källström and Askmark (1948): round wooden font cover with a lion handle; around the lion handle there is a sun incised; around the sun, an inscription [cf. Inscription area]. Noted and illustrates in Rydbeck (1936), in her section on the 'Mårten stenmästare'. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 900619F3] as a baptismal font made of sandstone by Mårten in the second half of the 12th century.
